Mackenzie Grant M.Ed., M. Psy
- Individual counselling
- Children and teen counselling
Mackenzie has been drawn to psychology for as long as she can remember. Having a science-based educational background and a personal appreciation of art, she was attracted to clinical and counselling psychology as it is a beautiful dance between the two fields. She takes great pride and privilege to be able to assist individuals in their journey to wellness, recovery and personal improvement. She strives to create a safe, comfortable, compassionate and collaborative space, where individuals can share freely and feel empowered to work towards their goals, whatever they may be.
Alfred Adler said, “Meanings are not determined by situations, but we determine ourselves by the meanings we give to situations.”. As your therapist, Mackenzie aims to provide you with the tools to create and live a life full of purpose, compassion and joy.
In her work she utilizes various modalities, including elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Adlerian principles, to create a unique and client-centred treatment plan.
A former dancer, Mackenzie spent most of her youth in a dance studio. Ask her to show you her pirouettes!
