Liza was introduced to psychotherapy as a teen, when a therapist transformed her life. Since then, she’s picked up the mantle and attempts to help others achieve the same inner growth and contentment. She believes that we all have the power to heal childhood trauma and become better and stronger. That’s a core value shared by the associates who work on Liza’s team. Between them, Liza and her team are practiced in cognitive behavioural therapy, neuro-science, trauma, meditation, mindfulness, family systems, child guidance, parent education, positive psychology and solution-focused therapy. Each will unpack the past to create a brighter tomorrow using all the tools in their toolbox.

Liza holds a master’s degree in counselling psychology and a PhD in general psychology. She conducts research, teaches and writes in an attempt to spread awareness and knowledge beyond the four walls of her therapy practice. A passionate believer in social equality and social justice, Liza serves on the board of ALFREDS, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and communities. You can also hear Liza on CBC’s Here & Now where she addresses listeners’ parenting issues.
